On September 10th we traveled to Scottsdale, Arizona for the Western States Acquirers Association (WSAA 2018) annual trade show. The trade show provides training, education and networking to the technology, financial and ISO/MLS community.
The WSAA organization was founded in 2003 by Sherry Frederickson, Steve Eazell, Ken Elderts and Alice Kong to support the Acquiring Industry within the Western States as a regional non-profit organization delivering industry training, education, and networking.
This is a prime conference for us because of our presence in the payment technologies sector. Our managed wireless solution works for many different kinds of payment technologies including ATMs, Point of Sale, and more.
The general audience at WSAA 2018 was comprised of ISO’s looking for new and better solutions. This year our booth traffic was great, with gauged interest from the majority of people we spoke to.
Our SIM cards were a hit at the event but our routers were even more popular. Both products have a price structure that save operators money with no transaction or activation fee.
Our SIM cards are reliable and our routers can take any terminal and make it wireless. Plus, the ease in which we deploy and manage the routers is unparalleled. Because of those factors, our booth stayed consistently busy.
Overall, the show was a success. It was one of the best shows I have been to, hands down. I am glad we got an opportunity to showcase what OptConnect can do and we hope to return to WSAA next year.
